Environmentally sound practice has long been standard procedure at D M Braun & Company. For example:

-Aluminum castings are made from recycled aluminum.

-Metal, wood and upholstery scrap are all recycled.

-Metal finishing is done with a state-of-the-art pollution free powder coating system. Wood finishes are low VOC and catalyzed. Adhesives are formaldehyde-free.

-Packing and shipping materials have recycled content.

For twenty-five years, D.M. Braun & Company has had one focus: Serving the needs or our clients. Whether this entails project-specific furniture designs, unique materials, custom finishes, or impossible deadlines, we strive to comply and succeed.

As our clients' interest sometimes includes our raw materials and manufacturing practices, we are now pleased to state the environmental impact policies which we and our suppliers follow.

Waste Management

Manufacturing waste is minimized and controlled. Scrap lumber, sawdust, and metal scrap are all recycled. Excess upholstery fabric is either recycled or donated to non-profit organizations for their fundraising activities.

Finishing and Bonding

We use only low VOC stains, sealers and top coatings for our hardwood products. A state-of-the-art powder coating system is utilized for metal finishing. All adhesives are urea and formaldehyde free.

Materials

All cast aluminum is post-consumer recycled material (see our website for Southpoint, Barclay, and AllCast seating). We offer recycled steel, recycled lumber, and certified lumber as options. Our packaging and shipping materials have recycled content.
